Studio Arts Unit 1 & 2

Students explore a wide range of materials and techniques as tools for translating ideas, observations and experiences into visual form. They then look at how artists from different times and locations use sources of inspiration and ideas as the bases for artworks and apply materials and techniques.  Students analyse artworks to understand how aesthetic qualities are created, ideas communicated and identifiable styles developed. These skills and insights are then used to develop the student's own ideas into artworks.
