MDLC offers a flexible VCE program to students entering from a variety of education levels and experience. Students can mix and match unit 1 and 2 with unit 3-4 sequences according to timetabled availability. There is no time limit on completion, students can complete as little as 1 unit per year.


Learners over 18 who have been out of full-time school for at least one year can complete their VCE in one year. They are only required to do 4 subjects (8 units) at year 12 level including 2 units from the English group an any level (ie Unit 1,2,3 or 4)
 

Government funded places for VCE are available in 2013.

Requirements for "upskilling" from current qualifications no longer apply.

Adult learners have the opportunity to enjoy the satisfaction of acquiring knowledge and can achieve success in the VCE to improve career prospects.

Students will also have access to companion skill building courses to develop better study techniques, writing techniques, career planning etc.

 

Intermediate VCAL into VCE

  • Complete 2 VCE Units of English
  • Complete 4 VCE Unit 3-4 sequences

VCE only

  • Complete 8 VCE units @ 1-2 level
  • A VET Certificate II equals VCE unit 1-2
  • Complete 8 VCE Unit 3-4 sequences
  • Course must include 3 units of English
  • Course must include English Unit 3-4 sequence to be eligible for an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Ranking)

Adult VCE

  • Must be over 18 in year of enrolment
  • Must have been absent from fulltime schooling for more than 1 year
  • Must complete 2 units of VCE English (Units 1-4. If wanting an ATER must complete Units 3 & 4 of English)
  • Must complete 3 other VCE unit 3-4 sequences
  • Sequences can include other English units e.g. Literature, English Language
